Our Environmental Policy and related initiatives are maintained, developed and promoted across the business and including the following:

• Environmental impact assessments and objective setting
• An Environmental Training Programme
• Use of recycled and bio-degradable packaging for cleaning materials
• Using, whenever possible, alternative cleaning products which are environmentally friendly
• Collaboration and partnership with customers to encourage and implement recycling schemes at sites we clean
• Purchasing, whenever possible, only Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar
• Paper reduction and recyling schemes
• IT / mobile phone equipment recycling
• Uniform recycling
• Battery recycling
• Refilling toner cartridges instead of buying new ones

Our team ensures that our year-on-year objectives are achieved and exceeded.

Our core objectives focus primarily on the following:

• Achieving a continual reduction in the use of paper per employee
• Ensuring ongoing awareness of active commuting and the environmental impacts of related transport
• Reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill
• Increasing the reuse and recycling of resources
• Reducing average electricity consumption per employee
• Improving the expertise of the Environmental Health & Safety Department
• Reducing the amount of water consumed at Head Office
• Monitoring of our carbon footprint and implementing a carbon reduction programme with the overall goal of becoming a carbon neutral organisation in the future
• Continue to be a socially and environmentally responsible member of the community
